Discover the Skiff Club, a mythical universe of local yacht club. There reigns an elegant and family atmosphere, slightly outdated as in these places that have always existed. Three skiffs are suspended from the white frame of the veranda. These boats float above the tables, blurring the guests' bearings. Displayed on the walls, boater's hats, photos of training and nautical races recall the proud hours of the successes of yesteryear.
At the helm of this new thirty-seat establishment: the two-starred chef Stéphane Carrade. Two stars at Chez Ruffet, one star at La Guérinière, Stéphane Carrade is also the former chef of the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux. However, this bon vivant, child of the country, creates an author's cuisine, which gives back its letters of nobility to the simplest product, from the region, sublimating the specialties by playing on new, surprising and subtle associations. Between tradition and avant-garde, his credo: the “progressive terroir”.
The menu has four starters, four main courses and four desserts, and every day its gourmet proposals are made from seasonal products from the region, according to the mood of the chef and the market of the day. The wine list has more than 1,000 references, and offers the possibility of friendly pairings between food and wine.
With the same rigor and the same respect for the products, chef Stéphane Carrade also concocts the Sunday Brunch.
